The Cover advertised/used for this Book is actually the cover of "The Children's Illustrated Bible" by Selina Hastings and illustrated by Eric Thomas (which I have been hoping to buy as a Kindle book for years). The author's and illustrator's names were removed from the bottom edge of the cover, which I did not notice until I looked at the Hastings book. This book is barely illustrated, and is nothing near the wonderful job done in Hastings' book. I don't appreciate this type of trickery. E-Book to be returned..

The best children's bible when it comes to storytelling
The stories are well told but the pictures are small and blurry. I'd recommend something else if the illustrations are your main goal.
I bought this as a birthday gift for my 12-year old son. He is reading it all the time! The quality of this book is luxurious, and worthy of passing from generation to generation.
Beautiful book
Great for kids, easily explained in writting and easily understood by kids
We wanted something that would be a lasting keepsake for our granddaughter's first Bible for her first birthday. This book is beautiful in presentation. It's a thick one with gilded pages. They have taken the accounts of the Bible and condensed them into stories of a length that will keep a small child's attention. While it has beautiful illustrations, I wish it had more to better provide a visual for each Biblical account, but all in all, it certainly is worth the purchase price and makes a wonderful gift and keepsake.
Sometime the bible is hard to understand. This childrens' version is easy to read, understand and explain. I'm in a bible study and believe it or not I bought it for me.
